POETRY at the FARM

I was invited to teach poetry to elementary and preschool children at the Learning Farm in Ithaca New York. The children drew pictures to express their feelings about the poems. Some wrote poems about animals, family, trees, flowers, and the creek.

I read a few poems and asked, “what was your favorite?” To my surprise, most of them said “Failure.” They knew that “Failure is not the end --It’s where we begin to learn…”
